Stop ignoring this!
When not using the toilet, should you close the lid or lift it? This question is crucial for the cleanliness of your home!
Based on personal habits, many people believe that their daily routines are correct. Typically, when using the toilet, we tend to close the lid, while men might lift the seat. As a result, most people are not accustomed to leaving the lid down.
First of all, have you ever noticed how noisy the inside of your toilet is, like the sound of swirling water when you flush? Flushing creates a vortex that sends air up about 3 to 5 meters.
Most bathrooms are only 3 meters high, but this 'vortex' can reach a height of 5 to 6 meters. Therefore, some particles will float in the air, so it's important to close the toilet lid to prevent bacteria from spreading throughout the room. Furthermore, leaving the toilet lid open frequently can harm our health.
Many people leave small items like towels, tissue paper, floor cloths, and slippers in the bathroom. This makes it easier for bacteria to infiltrate. Since floor cloths and slippers are relatively damp, if they are placed near the toilet and the lid is not closed, bacteria can cling to them when we flush the toilet. And if these items are not dried out, they can be harmful to our health.
Secondly, over time, you will notice that the toilet begins to emit an unpleasant odor. This smell will spread directly throughout the bathroom, and if the door is not properly closed, it can even spread to the living room. This can result in an unpleasant odor spreading throughout the entire house.
If we lower the toilet lid, the unpleasant odor will not spread outside. Additionally, even when we clean thoroughly, there are still some types of bacteria that the naked eye cannot see. If we leave the toilet lid open and air blows through, the entire bathroom will become contaminated with bacteria. Lowering the toilet seat can reduce at least half of the bacteria spread.
